Leonard Washington has won the StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week award for the week ending January 28th. StatSheet's Mountain West Freshman of the Week is Fresno State's Marvelle Harris.
Washington led the Mountain West in blocked shots (3.5 per game). He also registered a strong showing in shooting (50%), scoring (16 pts per game), and rebounding (8 per game). The Wyoming senior put these numbers up in losses to UNLV and Air Force.
Washington topped all rebounding for the Cowboys with 7 while also adding 4 blocked shots in a 62-50 loss to UNLV. In the next game he led all scoring and rebounding with a 19 point and 9 rebound performance in a 57-48 loss to Air Force.
This is the first StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week honor for Leonard Washington. However, he has received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is J.J. O`Brien, a sophomore from San Diego State. Honorable mention goes to Colorado State senior Colton Iverson.

Marvelle Harris was on the floor an average of 34 minutes as a starter for Fresno State. In a 74-67 loss to Boise State, Harris rang up 10 points and 4 assists. Then in a 74-63 loss to Colorado State, he dialed up 15 points and 2 assists.
This is a new honor for Marvelle Harris, the first time he has won StatSheet Mountain West Freshman of the Week. Anthony Bennett from UNLV gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Skylar Spencer from San Diego State. This now means Wyoming has 3 StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week wins this season.
